In the Fall of 2014, on the eve of what would be the largest climate mobilization in history. 350.org teamed up with Brooklyn-based art collective Mare Liberum to build a flotilla of paper canoes. Together a small group of volunteers paddled the paper vessels the two week journey from Troy, New York to Manhattan. Along the route, they convened community meetings, film screenings, feasts and performances to raise awareness about the transport of fracked crude oil along the Hudson River.
