In October 2014, 350.org organized an Artivist Training Tour focused on the Carbon Bubble and the movement to divest public money from the fossil fuel industry. The three trainings in Berlin, Amsterdam and London brought together a diverse set of creative minds from artists to organisers, who are passionate about the reality of the climate crisis and fighting the economic system. The tour developed and shared innovative tactics and tools to intervene in the social and economic narratives at the root of the climate crisis, with the goal of creating action groups excited about developing creative actions together this autumn. This tour preceded the Fossil Free Europe Tour, where writer Bill McKibben presented three numbers that underpin the climate crisis, and the launch of 350.org’s European Fossil Fuel Divestment Movement. The results of the tour included guerilla projections, carbon bubbles at the Van Gogh Museum and Bank of England, and the development of the Divestment Creative Action Manual.
